The MTOK-A1 Splice Tray Lock is used to install and maintain MTOK 96 Closures (first generation type) with steel fiber splice tray brackets and buffer tubes connected to the trays on the far side of the closure head.
This type of steel brackets is currently used only in MTOK-A1/216 Closures. The Splice Tray Lock is used in these closures when: 1) spliced buffer tubes are inserted into the fiber splice trays from the steel bracket side instead of from the closure head side, 2) excess fiber loops are fastened under the buffer tube tray in the undressed buffer tubes.
