The Photon-4 Universal Tester is intended to measure light power (dBm) and evaluate losses in fiber optic light guides and cables.

Visual fault locator:

fiber identification in splice trays, location of poor connections, cracks, splices, breaks, bends of fiber by visual method.

LAN tester:

evaluation of technical condition and wiring layout of UTP, FTP type copper cable (correct crimping of wires). Determination the nature of the damage (short/open circuit) and distance to it from each core.

The LAN test leads are protected from excessive currents and voltages in the tested cable cores.

LED flashlight:

the tester is equipped with a LED flashlight to facilitate work in dark premises.

Tester power supply:

The tester is powered from Ni-Mh rechargeable AA batteries – 2 pcs., or from AC 220 V power adapter included in the kit. Alternatively, other chargers with 5 V and 0.5 A USB output (e.g., smartphone chargers) can be used to power and charge the device.

One tester replaces up to 5 different tools and devices with batteries, cords, chargers, user guides, bags/cases and other accessories.
