Pulast is a two-part non –reenterable expanding sealant used to fill cable splices. It is fully meets all requirements and harsh Russian operating conditions.
The sealant is packaged in foil plastic pack, separated by a clip. After the jumper is removed, the components are mixed without opening the bag and then the sealant is poured into the closure. Due to the ability to expand (coefficient ~1.7) after mixing the components a compression effect is created inside the sealed closure. This ensures that the compound fills the entire space inside the closure and the roots of the cables inserted into the closure.
Pulast sealant turns into jelly up to 24 hours depending on the ambient temperature, and the joint becomes reliably protected from moisture penetration. If it is necessary to re-access the joint, the Pulast sealant can be removed.
Filling the closure with Pulast sealant is not inferior to compression technology, while ensuring simpler and faster installation at temperatures from -10 to +50°C, and visual control of installation quality.
