The BUR-1007 gas torch is used during installation of closures on telecommunication and electrical cables, for soldering at melting point up to 700 °C and for heat-shrinking materials. Propane-butane is used as combustible gas.
The gas torch set consists of a handle with the fastened control valve to adjust the gas flow and changeable nozzles screwed onto it. The gas is fed through the nipple to the control valve, then the gas flows through the nozzle injector into the mixer to form a combustible mixture fed to the nozzle. Due to the nozzle design features, a flame of a specified shape is created at the nozzle outlet.
The soldering nozzle No. 1P creates a stable, conical flame and serves for soldering at the melting point of up to 700 °C. The area of the mixer holes can be adjusted by a flap in the shape of a cylindrical spring attached to the mixer to regulate the flame ratio. The damper travels up and down the mixer when the spring ends are compressed.
The nozzle No. 2P for heat-shrinking creates a smooth, steady, wide torch that ensures uniform heating and shrinkage of the treated piece.
The heat-shrinking nozzle Ø=25 mm is used for shrinking wrap-around repair sleeves and tubes with 3 mm wall thickness or less.
