The KRU-1 Pipe Branching Box is intended for use in the construction of distribution FTTx cable network when it is necessary to protect cables installed inside the building with plastic or metal pipes.
It comprises a case and a removable lid fastened with two screws. The box and lid are made of steel and powder coated.
It is used for indoor installation plastic cable duct system with 50 mm OD . The ducts are installed along the interior walls in stairwells and routed through holes drilled in the slabs. The KRU boxes are installed at the duct sections joints and in points where the cables are routed to junction boxes with IDC terminal blocks. In this case, cable branches are protected with cable duct or corrugated tubes. There are slots for 50 mm OD ducts on the box ends, and two 25.4 mm OD openings on the side walls.
