The ShKON-MPA/3 series distribution box is used for construction of PON networks inside apartment buildings (MDU) in urban area basing on 1x16 + 1x4 or 1x8 + 1x8 cascade splitting schematics.
It is used together with indoor riser cables (cable with a core of freely removable fibers or modules) and provides cable securing, fibers branching, splicing the riser cable fibers with pigtails preterminated with optical connectors, protecting the branch splice point and fiber joints, installation of splitter modules and subscriber cable termination. It has compact size, dust proof design and can be installed directly inside storey niches.
The distribution box is made of low-combustible ABS plastic. There is an organizer plate inside the box that accommodates the pigtail fiber excess, splice inserts for KDZS sleeves and optical adapters for connecting the "in" leads of splitter modules. The fiber splicing compartment is covered with a metal lid that provides space for splitter modules. The cabinet is supplied with a security screw to restrict access.
It is compatible with standard 1x4, 1x8 splitter modules SM3 type (technical requirements of Rostelecom PJSC).
