The CCD ShKOS-VP patch panel is intended for use in 19'' racks. It can also be installed in 21'' (ETSI) and 23'' racks and cabinets with the use of extra brackets.
The patch panel is equipped with the sliding shelf that ensures easy installation and subsequent maintenance. Wide replaceable metal plates with 12 slots are used in the patch panel. These plates provide installation of the following types of adapters: FC and ST. Also, the ShKOS-M series adapter plates can be used with the ShKOS-VP patch panels.
The cable sheath is fastened to the patch panel body with plastic hold-down clamps and screws located on the bottom. In order to provide extra reliability, the patch panel is supplied with screw hose clamps that secure the cable to the steel bars. The cable entries on the rear wall of the patch panel body are covered with flexible cone-shaped plugs with annular marks. The cable central strength member is anchored by a metal hold-down clamp.
The excess pigtail fiber loop can be arranged with ring and lyre-shaped organizers located inside the patch panel body.
