Reinforced CCD heat-shrink repair sleeves (HSRS) are designed to seal cable splices, both using MPP closures as housings and without them, as well as to repair closures and sheath of communication cables.
The HSRS have a multi-layer structure, including a composite reinforcing mesh and a layer of aluminum foil to protect against lateral diffusion. They are resistant to UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. Thermo chromatic paint on the entire surface allows controlling the quality of installation. When the sleeve is heated sufficiently, the thermal paint disappears, which means that the adhesive on the inner surface has melted. A layer of hot melt adhesive (red color) provides reliable sealing when the sleeve shrinks.
All standard sizes of SSD repair sleeves can be used for installation of cables operated under excess air pressure. When sleeves are used for branching closures, cable entries on branch side are sealed using branch-off clip (BOCL): small, medium or large size.
The HSRS are supplied in 1.5 meter lengths complete with three 0.5 meter strips of steel channel and two channel connection clips.
