The kit is used for termination of unarmored solid wire cable with XLPE insulation and a shield made of copper wires for voltage up to 10 kV for outdoor installation.

The kit is equipped with stress control tubes that help to reduce the chance of insulation breakdown at the cut of the semiconductor layer and sealant that equalizes the electric field. An insulating anti-tracking tube and insulator are used to reduce the chances of breakdown along the surface of the insulation.

The grounding wire consists of the cable wire screen and is terminated with a crimping lug.
