The kit is used for termination of armored/unarmored 3-core solid wire cable with oil-impregnated paper insulation and aluminum or lead jacket for voltage up to 10 kV for outdoor installation.

The kit includes HST oil separation tubes, anti-tracking core insulation rehabilitation tubes, lug and inner sleeves. An insulating anti-tracking tube and insulator are used to reduce the chances of breakdown along the surface of the insulation.

The hot-melt adhesive applied to the inner surface of the HST tubes provides a proper sealing of the closure after installation.

The kit also includes aluminum lugs equipped with contact shear head bolts. Conductive lubricant is applied to the bolt contact surfaces in order to improve the conductive properties. Bolt lugs can be installed on either aluminum or copper conductors.

The grounding wire consists of the cable wire screen and is terminated with a crimping lug.
