The Terminal Closure Kit is designed for jointing indoor and outdoor aerial cables. It can be used in FTTH/PON networks for the 2nd stage modular PLC splitters accommodation.
This design is intended for use with SM3 type modular splitter (item No. 130409-00409 or 130409-00410).
It is based on the standard K6 closure body and ensures water and dust protection (incoming and outgoing fiber optic cables are located on one side). Closure body material is plastic.
The sealing of distribution cables is achieved using heat shrink tubes, whereas drop-cables are sealed in multi-hole glands.
The closure design ensures the following:
• enter, seal and secure three dielectric cables with outer sheath diameters up to 21 mm;
• enter, seal and secure eight 2-4 mm OD subscriber cables;
• option of uncut fiber loop of one fiber optic cable;
• installation of up to 48 optical fiber joints (KDZS 4525 fusion splice sleeves);
• installation of one 1x8 PLC modular splitter SM3 –type (or two 1x4 PLC splitters);
• installation of two SC-type optical adapters.
The closure is mounted on a wall or pole using the appropriate MTOK-K6 Pole/Wall Mount Bracket.
The PLC splitters and the bracket are not included in the kit, but available for purchase upon request.
