The MKO-H7 Closure Kit is used for jointing overhead trunk cable with drop-cables. It allows connecting subscribers from outside the closure through a separate sealing block that can accommodate SC or LC adapters.
The closure body and head are sealed mechanically. A flexible annular gasket and reinforced plastic clamp equipped with a self-tightening lock are used for sealing. When the clamp lock is opened, the latch transforms into a lever for easy removal of the clamp from the closure.
Overhead cable is inserted, secured and sealed with heat shrink tubes.
The drop-cables preterminated with SC connectors are inserted into sealing block through the fitting holes and plugged directly into adapters. The sealing is achieved using an elastic gel poured into the groove around the perimeter of the sealing block.
If the closure is mounted on a pole or wall it is recommended to use the appropriate Closure Mount Bracket which can be purchased separately. Due to the bracket design, the closure can be easily removed from the pole and hung back. This operation requires no reattachment or use of any special tools, such as mounting band.
Please keep in mind that the "Technical specifications" section indicates the operating temperature range of the terminal closures disregarding features of parts installed within such as adapters, pigtails and splitters. If you use terminal closures with the above parts, their operating temperature range may be limited to the parameters of the specified products.
