The coupling is designed for mounting an overhead trunk cable with subscriber branches of self-supporting drop cables of small diameter. ODF couplings marked "A" are distinguished by the presence of strips or sockets inside for installing adapters. This allows the use of preterminated subscriber drop cables and reconnections.
The closure is a small-sized sealed rectangular container. A removable organizer plate is installed inside the container, on the back side of which there are 2 splice inserts for placing OF splices protected by KDZS 4525 sleeves, and on the front side of the panel there are slots for installing adapters of SC type. On the front of the mounting panel there is an splitter insert of L2-SP type, where splitters may be installed in mini-cases with 1-meter fibers in a 900-micron buffer coating. 1 PO-1х8 -PLC -SM / 0.9 -1.0 m-SC / APC splitter or 1 PO-1x4 -PLC -SM / 0.9 -1.0 m-SC / APC splitters, terminated with connectors SC, may be installed.
Cover and body are tightened together using 2 plastic latches on steel spring hinges.
Elastic gel is around the closure body, in the places of contact with the cover. Elastic gel is used to seal the case, and to seal the inserted trunk and subscriber cables.
Despite its small dimensions, the design of the closure ensures the organization of the transit loop of the optical modules without cutting.
The design of the closure provides:
• introduction and fastening of 2 cables inputs with an outer shell up to 14 mm in diameter;
• the possibility of organizing a “transit” input of 1 cable;
• placement of up to 36 splices (KDZS 4525) of distribution cable and 10 splices of drop cables;
• installation of 2 PLC splitters with a nominal size of body 60х7х4 mm;
• installation of up to 10 adapters of SC type;
• enter 10 drop cables of a round profile with a diameter of 2-3 mm or a rectangular profile of the "butterfly" type.
