Designed for installation of outdoor fiber optic cables for aerial, duct and indoor applications (attics, basements). It can also be used for the construction of FTTH/PON networks.
It is made of plastic and has a dust- and splash-proof butt design when input of main and drop cables is made on one side. The closure dome and head are sealed using a sealing gasket installed in between and secured with a plastic clamp with a lever lock. The main cable and drop cable entries are sealed with heat shrink tubing (HST).
A specific feature of the closure is the large number of cable ports for inserting drop cables sealed with HST. This allows the closure to be placed both on poles and in cable ducts.
The closure design provides:
- insertion and fastening of cables with an outer diameter of up to 20 mm - through two long stepped sleeves located at the edges;
- insertion and fastening of cables with an outer diameter of up to 22 mm - through two short stepped sleeves located on an oval port;
- insertion and fastening of a transit cable or two separate cables with an outer diameter of up to 25 mm through an oval port;
- insertion and fastening of 8 subscriber cables with an outer diameter of up to 8 mm;
- accommodation of up to 96 optical fiber fusion splices (KDZS 4525);
- transit cable input with two branches and input of eight subscriber drop cables simultaneously.
If the closure is mounted on a pole or wall, it is recommended to use the appropriate Closure Mount Bracket which can be purchased separately.
