The closure is intended for the rehabilitation of PE sheath on duct telecommunication (TP) cable splice. It is a polyethylene body consisting of three parts: two identical half closures and support sleeve.
It is required to order separately all additional materials for all kind of installation operations, such as wire splicing, screen restoration, wrapping insulation and sheath rehabilitation.
The TP cable conductors of 0.4-0.7mm diameter can be spliced with both discrete (solid wire) or 10-, 25-pair splicing modules.
In this closure, discrete connectors can be used for splicing on the following cables: TPPep 100×2×0.5 and TPPep 50×2 × 0.7. Splicing modules can be used to splice the following cables: TPPep 200×2×0.4 and TPPep 100×2×0.5.
The closure sealing can be performed both by the "cold" or "hot" methods. HST tubes or heat shrink repair sleeves (HSRS) can be used for "hot" sealing.
