The closure is used for the installation of SBVBPu and SBMVBPu cables. The closures have been designed in accordance with the technical requirements of Russian Railways JSC, passed field testing and are recommended for serial production. During the closure development, specific requirements for spliced cables cutting have been outlined. During cable preparation, the cables water-blocking parts are kept for further use in the creation of a waterproof wire splice.
The closure has a plastic body. The body consists of a head and dome. There are entry ports on the closure head to route main and branching cables. The closure kit includes installation parts and materials to ensure the sealing of cable entries and the closure body. Also, there are parts and materials that ensure insulation of wire splices, rehabilitation of wrapping insulation with moisture protection.
Plastic protective closures (MPZ) are used to protect the branch closures when installed in pits. The space between the bodies of the branch and protective closures is filled with Vilad-31 expanding foam sealant.
Two main cables with a capacity of up to 30 pairs and 5-6 branching cables can be inserted into each closure.
