The closure is used for the installation of SBVBABpShp and SBVBAuBpShp cables. The closures were developed under the technical specifications of Russian Railways. During the closure development, specific requirements for spliced cables cutting have been outlined. During cable preparation, the cables water-blocking parts are kept for further use in the creation of a waterproof wire splices.
The closure has a plastic body. The body consists of a head and dome. There are entry ports on the closure head to route main and branching cables. The closure kit includes installation parts and materials to ensure the sealing of cable entries and the closure body. Also, there are parts and materials that ensure insulation of wire splices, joining of aluminum sheaths, shielding of the joint and rehabilitation of wrapping insulation with moisture protection.
Plastic protective closures (MPZ) are used to protect the branch closures when installed in pits. The space between the bodies of the branch and protective closures is filled with Vilad-31 expanding foam sealant.
Two main cables with a capacity of up to 30 pairs with aluminum sheaths and armor and 5-6 branching cables of any type can be inserted into each closure.
