The sleeve is used for splicing TG exchange cables coated with lead sheaths and TSV type central office cables.
It is a MSR-type lead sleeve consisting of a body and a head. There is one cone to route the main cable on the sleeve body. There are several entry ports on the closure head to route TSV-type cables.
The closure head is produced at the factory and has many ports. It is made of rolled lead and lead pipes; the head parts are soldered together. This process is complicated and time-consuming. These sleeves are produced by highly qualified employees that undergo special training.
Upon a request, the stationary MSR sleeves can also be used as line branch closures, for example, in cabinet manholes or during the installation of a number of cabinets in transformer substations.
