Installed as a junction or Pupin closure on KMB-8/6 coaxial cable.
Such splices have larger wire joints (by length and diameter).
The Pupin sleeve provides space for a cable splice joint located at the connection point of coil loading sections, where symmetrical pairs of KMB-8/6 cable are joined together through induction coils. The coils are installed in a lead splice sleeve.
Due to existing lead cones it is possible to provide enough space to accommodate such splice joint within the closure.
KMB-8/6 cables have lead sheaths. During cables jointing, the closure cones are soldered to the cable sheaths with the use of POSSu-3-2 solder.
Then a pipe splice sleeve is soldered to the cones.
Note: The closure comprises just three lead parts: a tubular sleeve and two cones. It is required to order separately all additional materials for all kind of works starting from wire splicing to sheath restoring and insulating covers of cables.
