The FO 103-D-250 fiber optic stripper is intended to perform two stripping operations. It assures 900 µm tight buffer coating and of 250 µm primary acrylate coating stripping from a standard 125 µm fiber.
There are two V-openings of different size on the stripper jaws. In closed position, these openings form calibrated holes to strip buffer and primary acrylate coatings from fiber. Size of the holes is factory set and requires no adjustments throughout its service life.
Fiber is prepared for splicing in two steps. First is removing 900 µm buffer coating, and then stripping 250 µm primary acrylate coating.
It is recommended to use the tool to strip 900 µm fibers of NRS type fiber optic cable during the installation of indoor distribution networks (DRS).
There is a lock that holds the blades closed when not in use.
