The FO 103-T-250-J fiber optic stripper is intended to perform three stripping operations. It assures 3 mm cable jacket removal, 900 µm buffer coating and 250 µm primary acrylate coating stripping from standard 125 µm fiber.
There are three V-openings of different size on the stripper jaws. In closed position, these openings form calibrated holes to strip jacket, buffer, and primary acrylate coatings from fiber. Size of the holes is factory set and requires no adjustments throughout its service life.
Fiber preparation for splicing or termination with connectors are carried out in three steps. First is removing 1.6-3mm cable jacket, then 900 µm buffer coating is stripped off, and the last is 250 µm primary acrylate coating is stripped .
It is recommended to use the tool with drop cables up to 3 mm OD to remove the jacket and strip the fiber.
There is a lock that holds the blades closed when not in use.
