The UKS-OV-GPON distribution box is used for the construction of aerial fiber-optic cable access networks (FTTH) in low-rise rural areas (townhouses and private cottages in villages and countryside etc.) installed on 0.4 kV power transmission line towers or poles.
The box is made of metal with powder polymer wear-resistant coating. The following elements are located inside the box: fiber splice tray, adapter plate for two SC adapters to connect the "in" leads of splitter modules and the plate for universal SM3 splitter modules (USM).
The rear wall of the distribution box is adapted for installation to the pole. There are specific brackets to secure with two long studs at two points.
Cable entries are located on the bottom wall of the box. The distribution box contains two types of cable entries to insert distribution and subscriber cables. The box is equipped with threaded stud for grounding wire located on the bottom wall. Two brackets for fastening cable central strength member are located on the side walls. The inserted cables are secured to the metal comb with T-shaped bars on the back wall of the box.
The distribution box cover can be folded up. There is a gasket between the box and its cover. The distribution box is locked with a screw lock with the special shaped head.
It is compatible with standard 1x4, 1x8 splitter modules (technical requirements of Rostelecom PJSC).
