CCD MKO-P2/SM3-2/2SC-2SC-2SC/APC -2SC/APC Terminal Closure Kit

The closure is designed as a low-capacity distribution terminal for jointing outdoor and indoor aerial cables for outdoor and indoor applications.

This design is used with SM3 type module splitter (item No. 130409-00409 or 130409-00410).

The closure is made of plastic and ensures dust and splash protection. Incoming and outgoing drop cables are located on one side.

The closure has a small rectangular body equipped with a hinged lid. Closure lid and body are joined together with a plastic hinge.

Closure lid is tightened with four plastic latches on steel spring loaded hinges.

There is elastic gel in between the closure body and lid sealing both the body and the inserted trunk and drop cables.

A removable sealing block for entry and sealing of distribution cables on the top side and for drop cables on the flip side is located at the lower part of the closure housing. The removable seal block is gel-coated over the entire surface contacting with the distribution cables and the closure body.

A removable organizer plate is mounted inside the closure housing. The space for laying a through-feed cable buffer tubes is on the back side of the organizer. On the front side of the organizer the cable central strength member holders and KT-3645 fiber splice tray for splicing distribution cables are located. Also, on the front side of the organizer, there are sockets for SC adapters and L2-SP Splitter Insert for installation of mini-splitters with one meter long fibers in a 900 µm fiber buffer and L12-4525 Splice Insert for fusion splices accommodation.

Despite its small size, the closure design makes possible to arrange the through-feed cable without cut.

The closure design ensures the following:
• enter, seal and secure three cables with outer sheath diameters up to 16 mm in the housing;
• option of uncut fiber loop of one fiber optic cable;
• installation of up to 36 distribution cable optical fiber joints (KDZS 4525 fusion splice sleeves) and 12 drop cable joints;
• installation of two PLC splitters with a nominal body size of 60x7x4 mm;
• installation of up to 12 SC-type adapters;
• dust-proof enter of up to twelve round drop-cables with 2-3 mm OD or rectangular FRP-style drop cables.

The closure is mounted on a wall or pole by using the appropriate MKO-P2 Closure Mount Brackets, there are two types of brackets.

The MKO-P2 Closure Mount Brackets are not included in the kit, but available for purchase upon request.
