CCD MOG-T3-40-1KB4845 Closure Kit

The MOG-T-3 Dome Closure Kit is used for jointing overhead ADSS cable, «eight» type fiber optic cables with the external strength member, and urban cables of any design including corrugated steel tape armored cables.

The MOG-T-3 closure overcomes all small closures by the capacity of splice tray included in the standard kit. The KB4825 splice tray used in the closure makes possible to splice cables with different numbers of fibers in the buffer tubes. Thanks to this the entering of buffer tubes with any number of fibers into the entire splice tray without adapters is allowed.

The closure body and head are sealed mechanically. A rubber O-ring gasket and reinforced plastic clamp equipped with a self-tightening lock are used for sealing. When the clamp lock is opened, the latch transforms into a lever for easy removal of the clamp fr om the closure.

The incoming cables are sealed with heat shrink tubes. Initially all round cable ports on the closure head are blocked and have a gradient shape with different diameters. Cutting off the branch pipe in a certain place, you can choose the hole size as close as possible to the cable diameter. This eliminates an excessive stretching of the heat shrink tubes after shrinkage when inserting rather thin cables. All closure ports are also equipped with separate anchor nodes for cable central strength members.

With the insertion of 2 thin cables in the round ports, the total number of cables inserted in the closure can reach 8 cables.

Due to its small size, MOG-T-3 closure can be installed in places wh ere placing other closures is difficult or even impossible. For example, such places are small manholes, tight manholes of urban telephone networks, underground containers, and telecommunication cabinets.

If the closure is mounted on a pole or wall, it is recommended to use the appropriate Closure Mount Bracket which can be purchased separately. Due to the bracket design, the closure can be easily removed from the pole and hung back. This operation requires no reattachment or use of any special tools, such as mounting band.

Also, there are two eyelets with openings on the closure body. The closure can be fastened through the eyelets to the cable excess coil on UPMK, in the pole/tower cabinet or when suspended on wire.
