The MPO-Sh1/64 Closure Kit is used for jointing overhead ADSS fiber optic cables, flat cables, and «eight» type cables with the external strength member.
The closure is a small rectangular container with a hinged lid. Closure lid and body are sealed together using a gasket and tightened with two plastic latches on steel spring loaded hinges.
The closure is equipped with two round cable ports with fittings and one oval cable port. The cable glands are sealed mechanically, no extra materials and tools are used. The cable through-feed gland is also sealed mechanically by means of an appropriate cable entry sealing kit. The cable sheath is fastened to the closure body with plastic clips and screws.
The closure design ensures the following:
• enter, seal and secure up to four optical cables with outer sheath diameters from 4 to 16 mm in the housing;
• option of through feeding of one optical cable;
• installation of up to 64 optical fiber joints (KDZS 4525 fusion splice sleeves).
The closure is mounted on a wall or pole by using the appropriate MPO-Sh1 Closure Mount Bracket.
The MPO-Sh1 Closure Mount Bracket and the Cable Entry Sealing Kit for oval port are not included, but available for purchase upon request.
