The MPO-Sh3/48 Closure Kit is used for jointing overhead ADSS fiber optic cables, flat cables, and «eight» type cables with the external strength member.

The closure is a small rectangular container with a hinged lid. Closure lid and body are sealed together using a gasket and tightened with two plastic latches on steel spring loaded hinges.

A removable organizer plate is mounted inside the closure housing. The space for laying a through-feed cable buffer tubes is on the back side of the organizer. On the front side of the organizer the cable holders and KS-1645 fiber splice tray for splicing distribution cables are located. Up to 3 KS-1645 splice trays can be installed.

The closure design ensures the following:

• enter, seal and secure up to two cables with outer sheath diameters up to 14 mm in the housing;

• option of through feeding of one fiber optic cable;

• installation of up to 48 optical fiber joints (KDZS 4525 fusion splice sleeves).

The closure is mounted on a wall or pole using an MPO-Sh3 Closure Mount Bracket.

The MPO-Sh3 Closure Mount Bracket is not included in the kit, but available for purchase upon request (the bracket to MKO-P1-M is suitable for this closure).
